Research interests

Fabrication of metal and metal oxide nanoparticles (NPs) using gas aggregation cluster source (GAS);
In situ study of NP formation, growth and transport inside GAS;
Deposition and investigation of plasma polymer thin films and nanostructures;
Fabrication and examination of nanocomposites metal – plasma polymer for biomedical applications;
Atmospheric pressure plasma and solution plasma grafting of chitosan onto flexible polymer substrates.

Skills

Competent in Physical Vapor Deposition of plasma polymers and magnetron sputtering of metals;
Familiar with the in situ diagnostics of NPs in gas phase (small angle X-ray scattering, UV-Vis spectroscopy);
Experienced in the characterization methods (UV-Vis spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, ellipsometry, atomic force microscopy);
Familiar with a novel method of AC-chip nanocalorimetry;
Competent in the atmospheric plasma modification of synthetic and natural polymers.
